Alcatel
Alcatel- Lucent (now Nokia) wanted to invest in their Greenwich based factory. After significant design work it was felt that there was scope to reorganise the factory and liberate some land for development.
This development model has numerous advantages. Alcatel-Lucent get a new factory to help their business expand and excess brownfield land is used to build much needed new homes. Careful design allows industrial and residential uses to be located immediately next to each other. This structure is an exemplar way for land owning businesses to invest in their future.
